Update: The arbitrator issued an award finally approving the class and collective action settlement on February 25, 2021. Pursuant to the terms in the Settlement Agreement, settlement checks will be mailed by or on April 20, 2021.
Former Sales Representatives filed a lawsuit alleging that Sumo Logic misclassified them and other Sales Representatives as “exempt” from overtime and failed to pay proper overtime wages, provide meal breaks, timely pay wages during employment and upon separation, reimburse business expenses, and provide proper wage statements. Sumo Logic denies these allegations and the Arbitrator has not made any ruling on the merits of Claimants’ claims. The parties have entered into a settlement with the intention to avoid further disputes and litigation with the attendant inconvenience and expense.
